Objective To be a good team player with special skills in technology, mathematics and good written and verbal communication and to pursue a career as a dynamic watch keeping marine engineer in an organization that provides a challenging work environment which would enable me to utilize my technical skills and competencies while actively contributing to the success of the organization. Carrier experience and Training I stared my carrier as an engine cadet in 2009 at the CINEC maritime campus which is also known as the Colombo Nautical and Engineering College. I completed 12 months training which included 10 months dry dock practical workshop training at the Colombo dock yard. I sailed as an engine cadet with the London-based, London ship manager ltd for a period of 12 months. I received a constructive training onboard in two of their ships namely MV Portese and MV Talaca in the latter patter of my training period. They are reefer vessels. Both vessels were built with Sulzer RTA engine and MAN B&W engine in late 90’s. The crew was comprised of gentlemen from different nationalities namely, British, Australian, Ukrainian and Pilipino. As an engine cadet I involved in operating and maintaining all the mechanical equipment and electrical equipment in the ship .I have experience in maintaining power generation and distribution systems, equipment such as lifts, domestic refrigeration plants, piping and ventilation systems. I could also broaden my knowledge on operation and maintenance of both direct expansion and brine cooling refrigeration systems.
